About the work
Curiosity is a clinical skill.
The Sleepy Psychiatrist is my personal corner of the internet for teaching about sleep and psychiatry, sharing research as it develops, and showing the projects that keep me curious.
People often arrive at sleep questions carrying a lot of noise: conflicting advice, a frightening symptom, or the feeling that they are somehow failing at rest. My aim is to replace some of that noise with context and a more useful next question.
Make it understandable
Translate complicated ideas into language that respects your intelligence and your limited attention at 2 a.m.
Keep the edges visible
Separate what is well established from what is promising, uncertain, or still being worked out.
Stay close to life
Keep biology in conversation with work, relationships, stress, culture, and the realities of a particular person.
A useful boundary
Education can open a door. It can’t walk through it for you.
These pages are for learning and reflection, not a substitute for personal medical care. If something feels urgent, unsafe, or out of character for you, seek help from a qualified clinician or local emergency service.
